As a silent letter, it embodies the primordial breath, unity, and the infinite divine source from which all creation begins. Mystically formed by a diagonal line connecting upper and lower points, it represents the bridge between heaven and earth. Aleph stands as a profound symbol of absolute oneness, quiet strength, and limitless beginnings.

Part of a series exploring the initial drafting of the letter for human communication in ancient times, and its relationship to our modern era.

The text incorporated here is the sublime poem 'Mah Lach Yechida' by Sholomo ibn Gabirol, who lived in 11th-century Spain, describing life in the Spanish exile.
