The text featured in the artwork is from the Prophet Jeremiah, Chapter 9:
"For the mountains I take up weeping and wailing, For the pastures in the wilderness, a dirge. They are laid waste; nobody passes through, And no sound of cattle is heard. Birds of the sky and beasts as well have fled and are gone..."
I created this piece to connect my soul with the ancient words of the Prophet and our reality today, as the prophetic words foretelling our exile serve as foundational texts during this difficult time. It was crafted using traditional ancient materials like walnut ink, combined with a modern application of gold acrylic paints and other mediums.
